I don't know what Charis Marvell--oh, excuse me, Leffoy (you can put dirt in water or the finest wine, but you still get mud)--thinks my schedule is like today, but I have absolutely no time for emergency meetings and especially not to deal with the Pelbians. Barty will take care of it the way he always does and she and Forrester will be his good little footsoldiers, they're certainly little different from one another. I'm still feeling ill and Ianthe is getting to know my girls better than I am. I don't like this. Ianthe's girls have turned out surprisingly well given that she is in charge of them--especially Claudia and Clarissa--but they were good to start out. I've got Miss Walsingham and Miss Parkinson but I've also got a Pendry and a Lovelace.

Banning, Dolloway and Mulgavey are still solid lead; Ducas, Goulston and Saint-Germain are still slags. But I don't have to room with any of them, so I don't much care. Not that Goulston has noticed. She still threatens my poor kitty whenever she gets the chance. I don't know how many times I have told her that if she doesn't lock and ward her things she's lucky if a cat is the worst thing that gets in!
